JI leader backs anti-encroachment drive

“On behalf of the people of upper Chitral, I appreciate the initiative taken by DC Osama Ahmad Waraich against the encroachment mafia in Chitra,” said Shujauddin Laal, the secretary of the JI upper Chitral, in a statement sent to ChitralToday. He said people of Chitral have fully supported the decision taken by the DC to retrieve all state land from the illegal occupants. He said the across-the-board campaign would not only ensure the writ of the state and rule of law but also facilitate the citizens by riding them of congestion and traffic mess in case of the Chitral town. The JI leader said the people were hopeful that the DC would also extend the drive against illegal structures and occupation of state land to other parts of the district as well.]]>
