BOONI, Jan 24: Poets and literary figures at a Mushaira here paid tributes to those who sacrificed their lives for ensuring peace in the country.
The ‘Aman’ (peace) Mushaira was arranged by Anjuman Taraqi-e-Khowar Booni chapter in collaboration with the South Asia Partnership Pakistan (AWAZ) at a local hotel.
Chairman BLSO Zaheeruddin Babar and chairman BIMS Imtiaz Alam were the chief guests.
AWAZ’s district coordinator Muhamamd Ismail highlighted the objectives of the organization. He said the organization was working for creating awareness of human rights and enhancing political knowledge among the women of the area.
