Eidul Hussain has no association with PPP: MPA
BOONI, Jan 22: Salim Khan, the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) MPA from lower Chitral, who is also the president of the party’s district chapter, said those who announced to form a parallel cabinet of the PPP Chitral on Jan 21 have no association with the PPP as they had long been expelled from the party.
Talking to ChitralToday on phone on Thursday, the MPA said Eidul Hussain, who claimed to be the new president of the PPP Chitral, had left the PPP and joined the PML-Q soon after the assassination of Benazir Bhutto in 2007. The other people who were present at the press conference with Eidul Hussain were expelled from the party before the 2008 elections for violating party by-laws, he added.
The MPA said now when the local government elections were round the corner, the opponents of the PPP were perturbed over the popularity of the party and had once again activated these opportunists against the party as a conspiracy. He said that the people of Chitral had become well aware of the conspiracies of the elements and those claiming to be party members also stood exposed before the people of the valley.–S.N. Peerzada]]>
