New DPO Chitral takes charge

CHITRAL, Jan 12: Senior Superintendent of Police Abbas Majid Marwat, a PSP officer, has been appointed as the District Police Officer (DPO) Chitral upon SSP Ghulam Hussain’s retirement. Abbas Majid Marwat, prior to his appointment in Chitral, was serving as the AIG training in the central police office Peshawar. He is known to be a professional and dedicated young police officer who got promoted very speedily due to his shining performance. Sources said Abbas Majid Marwat is son of senior police officer Abdul Majid Marwat, who is serving as Commandant Frontier Constabulary. The senior Marwat once also served in Chitral as superintendent of police.]]>
