Upper Chitral receives season's first snowfall

BOONI, Jan 5: The first snowfall of the current winter season started in some parts of upper Chitral early on Monday morning, making the weather chillier and forcing the residents to stay indoors. In some highland areas of Chitral, such as Lot Oweer, Gohkeer and Uthul in Mulkhow, light snowfall had been reported a day earlier. The snowfall was limited to areas from Reshun to Booni as all other villages in upper Chitral had not received any precipitation but the weather was cloudy. In lower Chitral too, the weather remained cloudy and there was no report of rain/snowfall when this report was filed at about 10:30am. In upper Chitral areas which received snowfall, all roads were open and there was no disruption to the traffic movement.]]>
