Individual's role in development of society highlighted

CHITRAL, Dec 19: The Shishykoh, Madaklasht Area Development Project (SMADP), a local support organization, arranged a one-day awareness workshop for the people of Madaklasht. The theme of the workshop was, “Role of an individual in the development of society.” More than 60 participants, including women, attended the workshop. All the participants through group discussions, group works and presentations highlighted the importance of individual contribution towards the betterment of society. Chairman SMADP Qazi Khursheed Ahmed and social organizer Sardar Alam also addressed the participants. Talking to chitraltoday, Sardar Alam said, “SMADP is working for the socio-economic development of Shishykoh and Madaklasht valleys.” He said that so far different development projects were in the process of completion in the area under the supervision of SMADP. Previously, the organization held another workshop to create awareness among the youths about drug abuse. A doctor was called to the area to give medical treatment to the poor people with the help of Madaklasht Youth Organization. A number of needy students were given cash, books, note books, uniforms and school bags through EELY funded program. Mr. Sardar said his project would continue his struggle for the development of the area in future as well.]]>
