ISLAMABAD, Jan 23: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has rejected an application filed by a leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chitral seeking election in the whole constituency of PK-90 Upper Chitral. In his application, Rehmat Ghazi, who was the PTI candidate for the seat in the May 11, 2013, elections, contended that the election tribunal’s direction to hold re-polling in only seven stations should be set aside. He was of the view that during the hearing of the case filed by Sardar Hussain of the PPP against suspended MPA Ghulam Muhammad, widespread irregularities and rigging had surfaced in the constituency. He pleaded that the apex court should order re-election in the whole constituency. However, the application was rejected by the registrar office.]]>
Indeed its a good decision taken by the apex court because “a lazy man always quarrels with his tools.”
