Allegations against me are false, says PTDC motel manager
ISLAMABAD, Oct 22: The manager of the PTDC motel in Chitral, Amir Muhammad Khan, has rejected the allegations that he had in any way influenced the two-member commission during their stay at the motel for the recounting of rejected and postal ballots in PK-90. Talking to ChitralToday on phone from Chitral, Khan said he was on a visit to Gilgit along with a group of Chitrali singers headed by folk singer Mansoor Ali Shabab from September 23 to 30. It may be noted that the commission carried out the recounting of rejecetd and postal ballots in Chitral on September 30, October 1 and October 2 and left the town by road on October 3. “Of course, he [Sardar Hussain, the PPP candidate and runner-up] is my maternal cousin and I can’t disown him. If they’ve any proof of my involvement in influencing the commission members, I’m ready to face them wherever they want,” he contended. He further said that he had not even met the commission members what to talk of entertaining them. “After my arrival from Gilgit, a group of my auditors came to Chitral and I left for Booni and Mastuj with them the same day. When I returned the commission members had left by paying Rs30,520 bills for their stay in the motel,” he added.
