Team from Broze wins football tournament

DROSH, Oct 6: The Domun Broze team defeated Chitral Scouts Wing 3 by two to zero goals to clinch the Maj-Gen Sanaullah Shaheed Football Trophy here on Sunday. The tournament was organized by the New Star Kuru at the Murad Stadium in which 32 teams took part. A large number of people from Drosh and nearby areas had gathered to witness the final match. Social figure from Goldur Chitral, Mr Farooq Ahmed, was the chief guest at the final match. Commander Chitral Scouts’ Wing 3 Col Burhan was also present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Col Burhan hailed the peace-loving nature of the people of Chitral and said the future of the country was at the hands of peace-loving youth like those in Chitral. He also asked the youth to keep a vigil on the anti-state elements to ensure durable peace in the country. PTI Chitral’s vice-president Razitubillah said that the tournament was arranged in memory of Maj-Gen Snaullah and other martyrs of the army who laid their lives while defending the country in Upper Dir last month.
