More efforts needed to promote education

CHITRAL, Sept 14: A seminar was organized by the district education department Chitral on the conclusion of the literacy week at the Government Centennial Model High School on Saturday. Afzal[/caption] The seminar was attended by MNA Chitral Iftikharudin, DC Mohammad Shoaib Jadoon, district education officer Haji Nisar Ahmed, district president PTI Abdul Latif, Manger NCHD Mohammad Afzal and a large number of people belonging to different walks of life. Addressing the seminar, MNA Iftikharudin said without education we cannot imagine prosperity and development in the modern world. He said many nations in the world got independence much later than Pakistan but today they attained pinnacles of glory. The secret behind their tremendous development is full devotion to education. Had our successive governments given importance to education we would not have lagged behind in the race of prosperity and development. He reiterated his all-out efforts to make Chitral one of the most highly educated districts of the country. The deputy commissioner said the youth of Chitral were not devoid of talent and they needed modern means of education and training institutes to excel in all walks of life.  ]]>
