Mehtar moves to end electricity issue of state-era hospital

CHITRAL, Aug 31: Deputy Commissioner Chitral Shoaib Jadoon has announced that a micro-hydel power station will be built in Goldur to provide electricity for the District Women and Children’s Hospital in Jhang Bazar, Chitral Town. Given the horrible electricity situation in Chitral Town, the patients at the hospital were facing great difficulties, especially those in intensive care and the newborn children in life support incubators. Land for the station has been provided by His Highness Mehtar Fateh-ul-Mulk Ali Nasir free of cost, said a press release issued from the Royal Fort in Chitral. The said hospital has been in existence since the days of Chitral State and thus the Mehtar has stated that as his ancestors built the first hospital in Chitral and initiated the system of modern healthcare, he will do whatever he can in his private capacity to help the people of Chitral.]]>
