Man beaten to death over water dispute
CHITRAL, June 30: One person was beaten to death by his uncle over a dispute of irrigation water in Muzhgole village of upper Chitral.
The local police said Mohammad Wali Shah and his son Assadullah allegedly attacked Sardar Mohammad, son of Sher Wali Shah, with shovel and beaten him to death when he came to the local irrigation channel to divert the water to his field.
He said that both the accused (father and son) had been arrested and cases registered against them under sections 302,324 and 34 of PPC.
It is worth mentioning that the accused Mohammad Wali Shah was also arrested in the murder case of former vice-chairman of union Council Kosht, Ghousur Rahman, but was acquitted later for lack of evidence.
