ISLAMABAD, April 12: The Islamabad High Court on Friday extended the transitory-bail granted to former president Pervez Musharraf until April 18 in the judges detention case.
The court also ordered the All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) chief, who personally appeared before the bench, to submit a bond amounting to Rs 500,000 and to appear in the next hearing over the case which was also adjourned until April 18.
When Musharraf recahed outside the court premises in tight security, a small group of people chanted slogans in his favours. Among them were also young people from Chitral who were holding the flags of the APML. Before Musharraf entered the premises, Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui left his courtroom on tea break after waiting for the former president since morning. Musharraf kept on waiting in his vehicle outside the court for some time.
on March 29, a single-member bench of Sindh High Court had extended Musharraf’s transitory bail for 15 days in the judges detention case of 2007.
