PESHAWAR, March 19: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly was dissolved on Tuesday following the summary received by Governor Engineer Shaukatullah.
Earlier on Monday, Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti had sent a summary to the provincial governor requesting the dissolution of the assembly.
Justice (retd) Tariq Pervez, who was nominated as caretaker chief minister of the province on March 15, is expected to take oath tomorrow (Mar 20).
The government issued a notification which said: “In pursuance of the dissolution of the Provincial Assembly vide Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Law Department’s Order No. LEGIS:4(1)/77/Vol-II, Dated 19-03-2013, it is hereby notified the following provincial ministers have ceased to hold their respective portfolio at 2400 hours on 19th March, 2013:
