NGOs criticize NOC condition

PESHAWAR, Feb11: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has adopted a new procedure for the issuance of No Objection Certificate (NOC) to local and international NGOs working in 10 specific districts, including Chitral, said a press release.
However, NGOs working in various districts termed teh condition of NOC for visiting their project sites as a hurdle in timely completion of the projects.
The provincial government recently adopted three new working forms and directed the Provincial Disaster Management Authority and Provincial Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Settlement Authority to inform all the local and International NGOs to send their requests after completing the requirements as indicated in these forms to the provincial home and tribal affairs department for the purpose of visiting the project sites in ten districts of the province.
The NGOs working in districts like Dir Lower ,Dir Upper, Shangla, Buner, Malakand, Swat and Chitral and three southern districts of Hangue, Tank and Dera Ismail Khan need to fill these forms for get the NOCs.
