Chitral jolted
ISLAMABAD, July 12: An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale jolted Chitral, other parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as well as Islamabad on Thursday. According to Meteorological Office, the epicentre of the quake was 194 kilometres deep in the Hindukush. Moderate tremors were felt in Islamabad and parts of Punjab including Rawalpindi, Lahore, Jehlum, Sargodha, Chiniot, Abbatabad, Malakand, Hafizabad, Kasur, Hafizabad, Sahiwal and Jalalpur Bhatiyan. The earthquake also rocked Peshawar and the surrounding region including Mardan, , Nowshehra and Kohat.]]>
