Four killed in road accident

CHITRAL, June 5:  Four persons were killed in a road accident on Arandu road, police here said. According to District Police officer Abdul Rashid, a passenger double cabin pick-up (PSC-33) was on its way from Drosh to Arandu when it plunged into the Chitral River at Jashtangal. As a result, Saeed Ahmad and Abdul Rehman died on the spot while wife of Ghulam Hazrat and a child drowned in the river. The bodies of these two persons are still missing. Driver of the vehicle Sibghatur Rehman was injured and is under treatment at Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Drosh. Body recovered: The body of an unknown man was recovered from the river near Drosh. The Drosh police said the deceased, who sported beard, was aged between 30 and 25 years. The body has been kept in Drosh hospital for autopsy.—G.H. Farooqui]]>
