Pakistan, Denmark Launch Energy Cooperation Program

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Denmark have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch a Strategic Sector Cooperation Programme aimed at strengthening collaboration in the energy sector.
The agreement was signed by Secretary Power Division Dr. Fakhre Alam Irfan and Danish Ambassador Maja Derrous Mortensen in Islamabad, in the presence of Federal Minister for Energy Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari.
The government-to-government initiative is intended to enhance bilateral cooperation on energy and provide direct technical assistance from Danish experts to Pakistan’s federal energy authorities.
According to officials, the programme is expected to support Pakistan’s efforts to accelerate its green energy transition and advance climate mitigation measures through technical collaboration and institutional support.
