CHITRAL, Nov 1, 2025: Rescue 1122 Lower Chitral responded to 241 emergency incidents across the district during the month of October 2025, providing timely and effective medical assistance to affected citizens.
According to a monthly performance report issued by the department, the emergencies included 96 inter-hospital referral cases, 214 medical emergencies, 14 road traffic accidents, 5 fire incidents, 1 firearm injury case, 1 drowning incident, and 8 other miscellaneous emergencies.
Despite traffic congestion and the district’s challenging terrain, Rescue 1122 teams managed to reach incident sites within an impressive average response time of eight minutes, ensuring prompt medical care and safe transfer of patients to nearby hospitals.
District Emergency Officer Sajid Ali Yousafzai commended the dedication and professionalism of the Rescue 1122 staff for their quick response and tireless service, particularly during the recent monsoon rains and flood-related situations.
He stated that, on his directives, Rescue 1122 personnel remain on high alert around the clock (24/7) at various rescue posts across Lower Chitral to deal with any emergency situation.
The spokesperson further urged the public to immediately contact the Rescue 1122 helpline (1122), which is available free of charge, in case of any emergency.
