Govt Team Assesses Flood Damages In Shagram

Booni, Sept 6, 2025: Following the directives of Deputy Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Suriya Bibi, a team led by Afghan Raza (Focal Person) visited Shagram Terich, a village severely affected by flash floods caused by heavy rainfall.

The team, accompanied by the assistant commissioner of Mulkhow and Torkhow and officials from relevant departments, distributed relief packages to affected families. During the visit, a detailed assessment of damages to homes, crops, and infrastructure, ncluding Terich Road, was conducted.

Cleanup and restoration work on Terich Road has already begun and is expected to reopen for all types of traffic soon.

Local administration, along with political and social figures including Tehsil Chairman Mulkhow Torkhow Mir Jamshed-ud-Din, PTI Upper Chitral General Secretary Alawaldin Urfi, and VC Chairpersons of Terich Bala and Terich Pain, participated in the visit.

Residents expressed gratitude to Deputy Speaker Suriya Bibi and Tehsil Nazim for the timely relief efforts.
