Islamabad, Sept 2: Noor Dental Clinic (NDC), founded by Dr. Ali Hussain Khan of Chitral, is emerging as a leader in redefining dental care across Pakistan.
With seven branches already operating and a new centre planned in Peshawar, NDC is expanding access to affordable, world-class dental services nationwide. Dr. Ali, currently pursuing a clinical fellowship in implantology at Harvard University, emphasizes evidence-based practice. His book, Salutogenic Approach to Oral Health, integrates oral health with broader well-being.
Through his flagship project, Dentistan, Dr. Ali seeks to unify Pakistan’s dental community under principles of ethics, mentorship, and service. The initiative aims to address Pakistan’s severe dentist-to-patient gap — currently one dentist for every 7,100 people, compared with the global standard of one per 2,000.
“Dentistry in Pakistan is not just a profession; it is a responsibility,” Dr. Ali said. “Dentistan is about a generation of dentists rising together to create access with quality and healthier futures for Pakistan.”
Community outreach remains a priority. NDC has organized free dental camps from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Karachi Central Jail and recently partnered with United Hospital in Karachi to expand its services.
