BOONI: Work on the repair and rehabilitation of the road between Ghoru and Parkusab was started on Saturday on the direction of the deputy commissioner Upper Chitral.
According to a report in ChitralToday, a public open forum was recently held by DC Haseebur Rehman Khalil in the Parkusap village. During the forum, local residents expressed concerns about the condition of the Ghoro-Parkusap road and demanded its reconstruction.
Taking immediate action, Deputy Commissioner Khaleel directed the Local Government Department to open the road on an emergency basis. As a result, the road repair work was started the same day under the supervision of Assistant Director of Local Government Misbahuddin.
The work is progressing quickly and the road is expected to be fully restored and open for traffic by tomorrow (Sunday), according to a statement issued by the district administration on Saturday.
