PESHAWAR: In a bid to promote women’s empowerment and boost tourism, a women’s cycling expedition was organized in Upper Chitral with the support of Booni Environmental Academy.
This unique expedition covered the route from Shandur Lake (Chitral, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) to Baha Lake (Phander, Gilgit-Baltistan), said a statement issued by the chief minister\’s office.
The aim was not only to provide opportunities for women to develop confidence and leadership through sports but also to showcase the natural beauty and tourism potential of the region.
Five emerging female cyclists from Chitral participated in the event, representing Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and sending a positive message that women have the ability to excel in every field.
