CHITRAL: A youth died and his brother sustained serious injuries when a jeep the deceased was driving veered off the Prayet-Phasti Road and plunged into a deep ravine on Thursday morning.
Local people told Chitral Today that driver of the vehicle, Akhtar Hussain of Phasti village, Lower Chitral died on the spot.
His brother Saddam sustained injuries and was admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital Chitral.
Locals said that the vehicle was going to Chitral from Phasti.
They added that the immediate reason of the accident could not be known.
The road to Phasti has been in a very poor condition for years and further damaged by floods this year.
