CHITRAL: In the wake of the heavy rain and road blockades, school holidays in Chitral have been extended for three days – up to April 17.
This decision was taken by the district administration on the request of the district education officer, says a statement. The educational institutions were closed for Eidul Fitr and were scheduled to reopen on April 15 (Monday).
Roads connecting different areas in Lower and Upper Chitral are still blocked with reports of damages to more houses and other structures as rain continued.
