Booni, April 23, 2026: A three-day boy scouts training camp organized by the Aga Khan Youth and Sports Board Upper Chitral concluded in Booni today.
The initiative aimed at developing skills and promoting positive social engagement among the scouts.
The closing ceremony was attended by Deputy Commissioner Upper Chitral Muhammad Imran Khan as chief guest.
During the training sessions, participants were provided awareness on mental health, drug prevention, traffic rules, business opportunities, environmental protection, plantation, and clean and green initiatives.
The program aimed to build awareness among youth and encourage them to become responsible members of society.
Speaking at the event, the deputy commissioner described youth as a valuable national asset and urged them to actively participate in constructive activities. He said that such training programs play a vital role in nurturing hidden potential and are increasingly important in the modern era.
He also highlighted the impacts of climate change and encouraged young people to make tree plantation part of their daily lives to help protect the environment.
Certificates were distributed among participants at the end of the ceremony.
