CHITRAL, Jan 1, 2026: Members of the Lower Chitral Police Polo Team stressed the importance of institutional support during a meeting with District Police Officer (DPO) Riffatullah Khan.
During the meeting, the police polo team members highlighted the need for continued encouragement, facilities and official backing to further improve their performance and promote sports culture within the police force. They also shared details about the team’s recent performances, challenges faced by players, and preparations for upcoming polo tournaments, emphasizing that institutional support plays a key role in achieving positive results.
Speaking on the occasion, DPO Khan appreciated the commitment and dedication of the police polo team. He said that sports are essential not only for physical fitness but also for promoting discipline, teamwork, and a positive mindset among police personnel.
He reaffirmed that Lower Chitral Police would continue to extend all possible support to its players to help them excel in the field of sports.
The polo team members thanked the DPO for his encouragement and assured him that they would continue to work hard to achieve better results in future competitions. They also expressed the hope that the police polo team would play a proactive role in the promotion of freestyle polo in Lower Chitral.
