Abbottabad, Dec 6, 2025: A female doctor of District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Abbottabad has allegedly been kidnapped, triggering serious concern among medical staff and leading the Doctors’ Association to announce an immediate strike until her safe recovery is ensured.
According to hospital administration and family sources, Dr. Wardah disappeared two days ago after leaving the hospital premises with a close female friend. The missing doctor had reportedly entrusted 67 tolas of gold to this friend before travelling abroad.
Upon returning to Pakistan, Dr. Wardah went to collect the gold, after which she mysteriously went missing under suspicious circumstances.
Both hospital and family sources claim that the friend may have played a role in orchestrating the alleged kidnapping. In light of these allegations, police have taken the woman into custody for questioning and have begun further investigations to trace the doctor’s whereabouts.
In response to the unresolved disappearance, the Doctors’ Association, supported by the hospital’s medical and paramedical staff, has announced a complete strike and protest.
The association has demanded that police authorities recover Dr. Wardah within 12 hours, warning that failure to do so may escalate the ongoing demonstrations.
