CHITRAL, Nov 5, 2025: The City Chitral Police and traffic wardens have launched a joint crackdown on the illegal installation and use of LED lights on vehicles, rickshaws, and motorcycles across the city.
The campaign aims to protect citizens and reduce night-time road accidents caused by the glare and distraction of unauthorized high-intensity LED lights.
Under the supervision of DSP Headquarters Iqbal Uddin, the Traffic Warden Police joined hands with personnel from City Police Station Chitral and set up checkpoints at several key locations.
Officers stopped vehicles and removed numerous illegal LED lights from motorcycles, rickshaws, and cars on the spot to enforce the law.
Police officials said such unauthorized lights blind other drivers and increase the risk of accidents. They urged all motorists, rickshaw drivers, and motorcyclists to follow traffic rules and avoid making illegal modifications to their vehicles.
The Chitral Police reaffirmed their commitment to enforcing traffic laws and ensuring safe and smooth travel for all citizens through continued road safety operations.
