Tribute Paid to Police Martyrs of Chitral

CHITRAL: In the lead-up to Police Martyrs Day, which will be observed nationwide on August 4, Lower Chitral hosted a series of events to honor the sacrifices of its fallen police personnel.

Martyrs’ camps were set up at Ataliq Bridge, Koghuzi, and Shoghoor. Police officers, personnel, and local elders visited the camps to pay homage to the heroes who laid down their lives in the line of duty.

District Police Officer Iftikhar Shah visited the Attaliq Bridge camp and praised the martyrs’ sacrifices. “Our martyrs are our pride. Their sacrifices will never be forgotten,” he said.

The events also drew participation from community notables, social activists, and youth representatives, who expressed gratitude to the police for their role in ensuring peace and security in Chitral.

Other police officers offered heartfelt tributes and expressed solidarity with the families of the fallen. The program was organized by the Public Relations Department of Lower Chitral Police.
