CHITRAL: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has decided to upgrade the historic Chitral polo ground with modern facilities to boost tourism and support local sports.
On the special instructions of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, Culture and Tourism Authority General Manager Muhammad Ali Syed visited Chitral to plan the renovation. The visit focused on preparing a comprehensive development strategy, reviewing proposed measures, and gathering local feedback to guide the project.
During meetings in Chitral, Shahzada Sikandarul Mulk, President of the Chitral Polo Association, briefed the General Manager about the challenges facing the polo ground and the urgent improvements needed. Officials assured that practical work will begin soon to transform the Chitral Polo Ground with modern amenities, creating a better environment and enhanced facilities for polo enthusiasts.
