RAWALPINDI: A heinous terrorist attack in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan has resulted in the martyrdom of 13 Pakistani soldiers, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The ISPR stated that a suicide bomber in an explosive-laden vehicle attempted to strike an army convoy, but thanks to the swift actions of security forces, the nefarious plot was foiled. The troops at the forefront of the convoy prevented the attack, though tragically 13 soldiers lost their lives during the subsequent skirmish.

Lance Naik Ismail
Sepoy Roheil
Sepoy Muhammad Ramzan
Sepoy Nawab
Sepoy Zubair Ahmed
Sepoy Muhammad Sakhi
Sepoy Hashim Abbasi
Sepoy Mudassir Ijaz and
Sepoy Manzoor Ali.
The ISPR confirmed that the attack was carried out by the terror group Fitna al-Khawarij, a proxy organization supported by India\’s intelligence network. The attack also left three civilians injured – two children and a woman, who were caught in the crossfire.
In the aftermath of the attack, security forces launched a clearance operation in the area to track down the perpetrators. The operation led to a fierce gunfight, in which 14 terrorists were killed. The ISPR emphasized that the security forces would continue to track down any remaining militants and bring them to justice.
The army\’s statement reiterated that despite the cowardly and heinous nature of the attack, the sacrifices of the brave soldiers and innocent civilians serve as a testament to Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to eradicate terrorism, especially those backed by hostile foreign agencies. The statement also reassured the public that the armed forces are resolute in their mission to rid the region of terror networks and safeguard the sovereignty of Pakistan.
