PESHAWAR: The education department discussed its projects under Annual Development Programme (ADP) 2025–26 worth Rs23.28 billion.
The ADP includes 96 projects targeting school construction, upgradation, restoration of historic schools, teacher training and infrastructure in merged districts.
Key allocations include:
Rs1.2 billion for Education Emergency School Support
Rs1.5 billion for 50 new schools in merged areas
Rs855 million for restoring historic schools and
Rs5 billion for out-of-school children reintegration.
Innovative programs like Tele-Education and the Education Card will also be launched this year.
The projects were discussed during the ADP review meeting chaired by Education Minister Faisal Khan Tarakai and attended by Secretary Education Masood Ahmad and senior planning officials.
