Govt Polytechnic Institute promises brighter future for youth

CHITRAL: A significant milestone in the field of technical education was achieved in Chitral as the Government Polytechnic Institute was officially inaugurated adjacent to the Government Technical Center for Boys.

The event marked a major step forward in equipping the region’s youth with modern vocational skills.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by notables from academic, technical, administrative and social sectors, along with a large number of local elders.

Tufail Anjum, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Technical Education, was chief guest while the event was presided over by Malik Mansoor Qaiser, Managing Director TEVTA.

In their addresses, they lauded the institute as a \”milestone for Chitral\’s youth,\” emphasizing that it would open new doors of opportunity and self-reliance for the young generation.

Principal of Government Commerce College Chitral Prof Sahibuddin remarked that the institute would usher in a new era of technical skill development in the district, paving the way for increased employment prospects.

Deputy Commissioner Lower Chitral Mohsin Iqbal highlighted the socioeconomic benefits of the institute, calling it a commendable step towards regional development.

Director Works and P&D Khalid Usman Wazir briefed the audience on the technical details of the project, attributing its timely completion to the tireless efforts of engineers and workers.

Institute Principal Rehmat Karim expressed gratitude to the KP government and TEVTA. He acknowledged the collaborative efforts that turned the vision into reality while his own active role was noted as instrumental in the project\’s success.
