CHITRAL: In a significant breakthrough in the ongoing crackdown against drug trafficking, Lower Chitral police arrested a notorious drug dealer.
The police in a statement said that a raid was conducted under the supervision of SDPO Bumburate Ahmad Isa and led by SHO Ayun Sub-Inspector Ataur Rehman and his team.
According to the police, the team raided the residence of Sher Baz, son of Haji Khan, a resident of Gaang Gahiret. During the search, police recovered one pistol, 14 rounds of ammunition, and 1,235 grams of charas from the suspect’s room. The suspect was arrested on the spot, and a case has been registered against him under drug and illegal weapons laws.
A spokesperson for the police stated that the force was committed to eradicating the menace of drugs and that such operations will continue against drug peddlers.
