BIOONI: The district administration of Upper Chitral has directed transporters to change their timings for departing from Booni for Rawalpindi and Peshawar.
The direction was issued after receiving public complaints that coasters and flying coaches left Booni at 2pm and reached the cities early in the next morning – at 5am and 6am. After arriving in the cities in the early hours, the passengers, especially families, face lots of hardship as hotel owners and taxi drivers take undue advantage and overcharge them.
On the direction of Deputy Commissioner Haseebur Rehman Khan Khalil, Assistant Commissioner Mastuj Ehsan Afridi held a meeting with Ada owners to resolve the issue, said a statement issued by the DC office.
The assistant commissioner directed the Ada owners that from now onwards flying coaches and casters bound for Rawalpindi/Islamabad and Peshawar will depart from Booni at 6pm. He warned that action would be taken if any Ada owner or vehicle driver violated the timings. The Ada owners promised to follow the new timings.
good step and drivers should be monitored and there should be a barrier at Booni bridge no to allwo any flying coach to leave before the fixed time.
