Dr Shakira Nandini
Shakira Nandini is a talented model and dancer currently residing in Porto, Portugal. Born in Lahore, Pakistan, she has a rich cultural heritage that reflects the diversity of her family’s background.
Her father, a Muslim originally from Bangalore, India, migrated to Pakistan during the partition in 1947. Her late mother was from Dhaka in what was formerly East Pakistan.
Shakira’s formative years were spent in Russia, where she was nurtured in a culturally vibrant environment. At the age of 12, her life took a significant turn when her parents separated, prompting her and her mother to move to the Philippines. There, she pursued her higher secondary education, laying the foundation for her future career.
In 2001, Shakira embarked on her professional journey in Singapore, where she began her career as a model. Her talent soon caught the attention of many, leading her to perform in various dance programs. Her passion for the arts drove her to further her career in the Czech Republic, where she worked as an actress, dancer, and model with Svet Modelek.
Shakira is also notable for being the first Pakistani to earn a PhD in modeling and dancing from a prestigious university in Sweden.
Today, Shakira holds the position of Senior Director at Boom Modeling Agency, where she continues to inspire aspiring models and dancers, sharing her expertise and passion for the arts.
