Bright students to get smart phones: PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced to give 1,000,000 smart phones to brilliant students.

He made the announcement while addressing a function held in connection with the World Youth Day in Islamabad on Monday.

He said that all resources would be utilized for the education and skill development of the youth, adding all expenses of students would also be waived. He said he would announce an economic revival plan on Aug 14. 

Mr Sharif said that 1,000,000 students would be given smart phones on merit. The bright students will also continue getting laptops. He said the youth would also be imparted training in IT from a Chinese company. Moreover, banks have been asked to give interest-free loans as well as jobs to the youth, he added.
