Three women, man arrested for murdering youth

CHITRAL: Police have arrested four persons, including three women, on the charge of murdering a youth and trying to show it as a suicide.

The Lower Chitral police in a statement said on Tuesday that a few days ago there was a report about the death of a youth from suicide in Shedi Gahiret village located in the limits of Ayun police.

The deceased was identified as Zahirul Haq, son of Muhammad Rahim, resident of Shaldain Chitral.

District Police Officer Iftikhar Shah took notice and constituted a team under the supervision of subdivisional police officer (SDPO) Bumburate Hasanullah to probe the case.

The team investigated the case from different angles and in a short span of time arrested four persons, including three women, for allegedly murdering the youth and showing it as suicide.

The arrested persons have been identified as Saeed Hakim, his wife, Noorina Bibi and Salam Bibi. The suspects are residents of Shedi Gahiret. The police did not give details about the motive behind the killing of the youth.
