E-transfer system for teachers soon

PESHAWAR: The education department of Khyber Pakthunkhwa has been directed to make the e-transfer system for teachers fully functional and effective soon.

At a meeting, Minister for Education Faisal Khan Tarakai said there is at present a ban on transfer and posting in the department and in future all transfers will be made through the e-transfer system.

Under the e-transfer system, teachers in remote areas, especially females, would be facilitated so that they are posted to schools located near their residences.

The transfers under the online system would be made under different indicators such as duration of posting in a school, distance of the school from a teacher’s home, and annual performance based on results.

The minister directed the officials concerned to make the system fully functional on a priority basis.

Secretary Education Masood Ahmed and other officials also attended the meeting and gave a briefing on the working of the department.
