PESHAWAR: A fire erupted in a private hospital located opposite the Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar on Sunday evening.
Rescue 1122 and firefighters from the fire brigade reached the spot and started an operation to put out the flames.
The fire reportedly broke out due to an electric short circuiting and the flames engulfed the third and fourth floors of the seven-storey building.
Rescuers evacuated three patients who were stuck in in the fourth floor and shifted them to the sixth floor.
According to reports, heavy machinery have been brought to the building to evacuate people still present on the upper portion of the hospital.
