BOONI: The returning officer here on Saturday rejected the nomination papers of three PTI candidates for NA-1 and PK-1.
The three PTI candidates are: Abdul Latif for NA-1 and PK-1; Shahzada Sikendarul Mulk for PK-1 and Zar Bahar for PK-1 in Chitral rejected.
Except the three PTI men, the nomination papers of all the candidates for NA-1 Chitral Upper-cum-Lower PK-1 and PK-2 have been accepted in Chitral.
Meanwhile, almost 90pc of the key PTI candidates across the country were knocked out of the race in the scrutiny process. They included Imran Khan, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Asad Qaiser, Pervez Elahi, his son, daughter, Dr Yasmin Rashid and Hammad Azhar.
The rejected candidates can file appeals in election tribunals against the rejection of their nomination till January 3.
