RCC bridge at Rayin village inaugurated

BOONI: The RCC bridge at Rayin village of Torkhow valley was on Wednesday inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Upper Chitral Muhammad Irfanuddin. 

Assistant Commissioner Mulkhow/Torkhow Rab Nawaz and other officials along with residents of the area were present on the occasion. 

Speaking on the occasion, the deputy commissioner assured the locals that work on the Booni-Buzund road would be expedited to complete it without further delay. 

He also said that all encroachment along the road would be removed soon.

It may be recalled that work on the reconstruction of Booni-Buzund (Torkhow) road was started five years ago by the Communication and Works (C&W) Department.

The federal government had approved release of funds for the repair/widening of the 35 km road in November last year under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP).

However, the project is yet to be completed due to unavailability of funds.
