Gang involved in house, shop burglaries busted: police
CHITRAL: The Lower Chitral police have stated that it busted a gang involved in house and shop burglaries by arresting three of its members.
The police said it had received complaints about thefts in a house at Xang Bazaar and a shop in Bakamak.
Acting on the complaints, the station house officer (SHO) City Munirul Mulk formed an investigation team.
The team headed by ASI Asghar Alam traced the gang members by using modern technology and arrested three suspects.
The police identified the three arrested suspects as Muhammad Rehan, son of Sultan Murad, resident of Ayub; Behroz Hussain, son of Mir Hussain of Mughulandeh, and Muhammad Azam, son of Quadi Azam, resident of Bumburate.
The police also said that two LED screens, gold jewellery, four car batteries, one carpet and 18,000 fake currency notes have been recovered from the suspects.
Further investigation is in progress to reach out to other possible accomplices of the arrested men.
