CHITRAL: A four-day Chitral festival was on Wednesday inaugurated by district administration officials in the town.
A large number of people witnessed the inaugural ceremony at the parade ground. Teams from different areas and departments are taking part in cricket, volleyball and football matches.
Various cultural and musical events are also being organized.
Opening the festival, additional deputy commissioner finance and planning Noor Akbar Khan stressed the importance of sports and said the district administration was providing all-out supports for promotion of healthy activities.
Schoolchildren on the occasion presented national songs and tableaus. The festival will conclude on March 18.
