Noted literary figure Bulbul Wali dies
BOONI: Chitral’s noted literary figure and educationist, Bulbul Wali Khan Bulbul died of heart attack early on Tuesday. He was 74.
Bulbul Wali was brought to the Booni Medical Centre on Tuesday with the complaint of chest pain where he breathed his last.
According to Sher Wali Khan Aseer, a childhood friend of the late Bulbul Wali, the deceased never married and dedicated his life to serving his mother especially after his retirement from service in 2008. His mother also died recently.
Bulbul Wali passed the matric exam in 1966 and joined Chitral Scouts but after a few years left it and adopted the profession of teaching.
In 1992, he got through the service commission exam and was appointed as headmaster in which capacity he served in high schools of Reshun, Booni and Garam Chashma.
Later, he also served as the principal of Govt Higher Secondary School Takhtbai. Before retirement, he was posted as principal to the Regional Institute of Teacher Training Drosh.
Bulbul Wali would be laid to test after his funeral prayer at his ancestral village of Charun Oveer today.
