Outgoing DPO Sonia Shamroz given warm sendoff

CHITRAL: District Police Officer (DPO) Lower Chitral Sonia Shamroz Khan was given a warm sendoff upon her transfer to Battagram. 

Ms Khan worked as DPO Lower Chitral for one year and 10 months. She was the first female district police officer in KP posted to Chitral.

In her place, Nasir Mehmood has been appointed as the new DPO of Lower Chitral.

Today, a farewell function was arranged for the outgoing DPO at the DPO office police.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms Khan said she could not express her feelings while leaving Chitral.

She said she did her level best to provide justice to those in need especially women besides trying to improve the image of the police.

Meanwhile, Regional Police Officer Sajjiad Khan said Ms Sonia led the district police with courage and served the public in the best way by showing her skills besides raising the morale of the police force.

He extended best wishes to the official and hoped that she would continue to perform her duties with dedication.
