Missing girl’s dead body recovered

BANG (YARKHUN): The dead body of a girl belonging to Gherarum village of Upper Yarkhun was recovered from the river in front of Bang on Saturday, local people told ChitralToday. 

The girl, Shabiba, daughter of Abdul Qadir, was married in Unauch village and had gone missing three days ago 

On Saturday, local residents spotted the dead body on a dry piece of land amid the Yarkhun river in front of Bang. As they could not reach the body, Rescue 1122 Mastuj was informed.

Giving quick response, staff from Rescue 1122 Mastuj reached the spot and retrieved the body.

Police then took the body into custody and shifted it in the Rescue 1122 ambulance to Booni for a postmortem.

Sources told ChitralToday that the girl was unhappy over her marriage and may have committed suicide. But the actual cause of her death would be ascertain through the postmortem.– Abdul Nasir Khan
