Police clueless about culprits involved in burglary cases
MASTUJ: There is no progress on the investigation into burglaries in which thieves broke into several shops in Mastuj bazaar by breaking the shutters and took away cash and valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees last month.
It was not the first such case in Mastuj. Last year, thieves had also stolen valuables and cash from six shops in the bazaar.
Within the last a few weeks, three such incidents have occurred in Booni bazaar and one in Brep. The culprits however are still at large.
The victims said had the police traced the thieves by properly probing the case in Booni, similar incidents would not have occurred.
The affected shopkeepers demanded a prompt probe into the incidents and appealed to the concerned authorities to bring the culprits to book so that no such incident happened in the future.
