Two siblings held with fake currency notes

CHITRAL: Two brothers were arrested after police recovered fake currency notes of 28,000 from their possession.

Police said SHO Bumburate Qurban Panah received complaints that Sher Ajam, son of Sultan-e-Rome, possessed fake currency notes of 1,000 rupees and was circulating them in the area.

The police raided the house of the man and recovered 8,000 fake currency notes and arrested him.

During the remand custody, 20,000 more fake notes of 1,000 were recovered from him. His brother, Muhammad Zakir, was also taken into custody. The two brothers were later sent to jail by a court.

Meanwhile, the Bumburate police also arrested Abdur Rehman of Sheikhan Deh after recovering nine litres of liquor from his possession.
